50th Anniversary Opening Day Triptych

Photographed December 17, 2021 at Powder Mountain in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.

These snowflakes were captured on Opening Day of Powder Mountain’s 50th Anniversary Season. Guests were treated to fresh tracks and a little sunshine. After a beautiful sunset, my daughter said, “Look at these snowflakes!” We stopped skiing and photographed this collection near the bottom of the Sundown lift. The nearly full moon poked through the clouds every now and then to join the night skiing lights in illuminating the fresh snow. The Triptych includes Snowflakes #138, #139 and #143.
