Description
Photographed February 22, 2019 in Park City in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.
This snowflake was captured early in the morning in Park City, during a wrap-around storm. The storm brought heavier snow to Southern Utah and only a few flurries to the Northern Wasatch. The central Wasatch was right in the middle, with calm winds, very cold air and steady light snowfall overnight – perfect conditions for complex & unique snowflake shapes. It was so good that I stayed up all night, snapping thousands of photos over a 12-hour period, as the storm laid a blanket of classic Utah powder on the ski slopes.
